E-commerce Design
Animation and micro-interactions that make the experience memorable
How this works
We approach e-commerce design as a conversion problem. Not an aesthetic problem. The look matters, but it has to serve the purchase flow. We start by auditing the existing store where one exists, identifying where the most significant dropout is happening, and building the design around fixing those specific points. Product pages get particular attention because they are where the buying decision is made. We design product pages that present information in the sequence that actually supports purchase decisions rather than the sequence that is easiest to implement. The checkout flow is treated as a separate project within the project. We design it for minimum friction: fewest steps, clearest progress indicators, trust signals placed exactly where doubt tends to occur. Mobile receives equal design attention to desktop because in most categories mobile is the primary shopping device. We design for WooCommerce, Shopify, and custom builds. Platform choice influences some design decisions and we factor this into the brief stage.
